Hola everyone! Kicking off 2014 with a series of epic photo stories. First being of Kartik & Preetika. In case you have missed, you should definitely check THIS post out of their lifestyle shoot before going ahead here.
Kartik & Preetika got married in November 2013 in New Delhi and had one of the most amazing, intimate and full of emotions wedding. There were not too many bells and whistles and yet, there was a touch of elegance in every single thing. Typical Preetika, that is 🙂 (More on this, when I post their wedding here)
Talking about simple, elegant & beautiful things, Preetika’s mehendi was in her home’s garden area and started around the twilight hour.
As the sun went down the horizon, more people started coming in.
And eventually, Kartik’s family was also there 🙂
And then came all the friends!
And the dance was inevitable since now the friends were around 😀
Preetika couldn’t really stand up since probably her mehendi was still not completely dry but nevertheless, she was clearly enjoying 🙂
“My Best Friend’s Wedding”
That’s another kind of mehendi right there 😛
Annie never misses a chance.
So while all dancing and grooving was happening in the garden, I thought of taking both of them on the terrace for some shots. And it was really worth it 😀
Priya di came in to call Preetika for some ceremony and we roped her in the frame as well 😉
Meanwhile, Rajat was doing I don’t know what.
And of course, the world famous “Seeti” 😀
What Preetika didn’t know was that all her cousins had planned a special surprise for her. They had flying lanterns for them and surprisingly managed to keep the whole plan secret.
This suddenly made Preetika go on an emotional roller coaster ride 🙂
And that was Preetika’s ridiculously beautiful, simple and elegant mehendi ceremony. I loved shooting everything because I could literally feel the love from every single thing there. It started with the traditional mehendi, had happiness all through and ended with a beautiful emotional note. That’s how you do it. I hope you felt the same going through the post.
Now if this was the mehendi, I can’t wait to show you what their wedding was like. Soon 🙂
Meanwhile, share the happiness with your friends for this might just brighten up their day 🙂
